Twenty two years ago, family and friends of people living with ALS formed the ALS Society. Each year the Society raises funds to provide services and support for people and their families living with ALS in the province.
Volunteers across Newfoundland and Labrador have come together to organize walks and provide you with the opportunity to take part and get together with others who have been affected by ALS.
Last years walks raised almost $100,000!!!! 40% of the fundraising is directed to ALS Canada for research and 60% stays here in the province for our families afflicted with this devastating disease.
Walks will be taking place across the island in places such as St. John's, Mount Pearl, Clarenville, Marystown, Georgestown, Corner Brook, and Stephenville.
