The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is a national, community-based organization whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Division is currently recruiting a Community Services Coordinator to be located at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay office.
This position reports to the Manager of Community Services and is responsible for the development and implementation of all Canadian Cancer Society community programs and client support services in their Region to ensure that mission delivery goals and objectives are achieved.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing professional with a health and/or social science background. Experience in community service, supportive care or any other related experience would be an asset. The candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with partners, volunteers and staff. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively as a team member and positively influence others at all levels of the organization.
Requirements for this position include graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in an appropriate discipline, strong volunteer management experience, as well as knowledge in planning and overseeing programs and services.
This is a temporary, part-time, position to be filled until the incumbent returns.
