    It was ‘the best day of my life,’ a fitting way to describe the ScotiaMcleod – Vibrant Communities St. John’s fundraiser at the Delta on April 3, 2012, as children and adults alike made their way through the crowds for a photo opportunity with the Stanley Cup.

  • Vibrant Communities and Parkside excited about new playgroup!

    Vibrant Communities - St. John's, an initiative of Community Sector Council NL, is pairing up with the Parkside Parent Committee to offer a free parent and tot playgroup.  The playgroup will take place every Friday morning from 11am to 1pm, in the Parkside Neighbourhood Centre located at 126 Barachois Street -  effective February 3rd, 2012.

  • CSC gives presentation at pre-budget consultations

    CSC was pleased to give a presentation to the Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance and Treasury Board President and colleagues at the 2012 pre-budget consultations, currently taking place across the province.  CSC's presentation focused on ways to advance the community sector, poverty reduction and supporting families through literacy and childcare initiatives.
