Community leadership course has 23 new graduates

It was a celebration of community spirit on November 13 as 23 individuals gathered at the St. Augustine’s Parish Hall for a graduation ceremony from the capaCITIES™ leadership program, sponsored by the Community Sector Council NL’s Vibrant Communities initiative.

The 7-week course developed skills in capacity building, teamwork and leadership for community leaders in Vibrant Neighbourhoods throughout St. John's. Led by Barry Green, capaCITIES™ guided participants through engaging sessions on self-development and collaboration. The course included sessions on setting goals, developing leadership skills, improving health, working in a team, and celebrating personal successes.

“This community leadership course helps foster positive change in community leaders as they work together to create possibilities for their families and neighbourhoods,” says Ruth MacDonald, Neighbourhood Supporter.

This is the 4th class of capaCITIES™ sponsored by the Community Sector Council’s Vibrant Communities initiative.
