The Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador (CSC) is committed to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our website.
General Visitors / Unregistered Users
CSC does not collect personal information such as name, phone number or email when users visit our website.
CSC has software in place to monitor network traffic and identify any unauthorized attempts to change information or cause damage.
CSC does collect some technical information when visitors browse our website, access postings, read pages or download information. The information that is collected and stored is listed below:
The Internet domain and IP address from which the website is being accessed;
The type of browser(s) (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, etc.) used to access the website;
The date and time the website is accessed;
The pages visited; and
If linked to CSC’s website from another website, the address of the outside site is also collected.
This information is gathered only to help make our site visits more useful to the user. This data allows us to determine the number of visitors to various parts of the site and the types of technologies visitors use.
Registered Users / Members / Guest Postings
Personal information such as name, organization, community, phone number and email will be obtained only when users post information to the Community Bulletin Board, register for an event or sign up for CSC’s mailing list. Submitting contact information may mean that from time to time CSC will send information relevant to community sector groups. Users may opt out of CSC’s mailing list at any time.
CSC respects the privacy of its stakeholders, and makes every effort to protect information in its possession. All personal information created, held or collected by CSC is protected and CSC is acting in compliance with federal privacy legislation under the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act (PIPEDA).
