The Parish of the Holy Trinity is a newly formed parish. It came into being after God's people in the former Parishes of New Harbour and Whitbourne entered into a conversation regarding How to do an effective ministry in the area. The parish is comprised of eight congregations: All Saint's Dildo, Christ Church Markland, Holy Spirit Old Shop, St. Augustine's New Harbour, St. Barnabas Blaketown, St. John the Baptist Whitbourne, St. Luke Placentia and St. Martin Dunville. The former parishes have a rich history dating back to the early 1800's and now as a new parish it will continue to add to that history.

The parish extends from Lodge Bay in the south to Norman Bay in the north. Since the early 1990's and the Cod Moratorium, the parish has been reduced to eight congregations, six of which have been accessible by road since 2001. The community of Battle Harbour itself, from which the parish takes its name, is no longer inhabited - but rather an impressive tourist attraction. Although services are no longer held there, St. James Anglican Church has been fully restored and is well worth a visit.
