Youth Are Volunteering

With assistance of a Community Youth Network Special Projects Grant, Youth Are Volunteering, a CSC-led project in partnership with Waypoints, aimed to build a model for engagement of resilient youth in volunteerism. The project added a new component to Waypoints pre-employment programs for youth, and built on CSC’s workshop offerings for youth.

The objectives of the project were:

1. To increase awareness among a group of resilient youth of the benefits and range of volunteer opportunities in St. John’s

2. To increase the number of community sector organizations and local businesses engaged in volunteer projects with Waypoints youth

3. To evaluate and document the process
